MentalPollution), but it definitely was the "in" girls name in the early 1980s, so there are a lot of them roaming around now. I have a niece born in 1981 named Jenna, which is close, but still a bit more unusual.
I have to say, though, as a little kid I always wished I had a more "common" name. Kids go through that "monogram" stage in about 4th grade where they want pencils and notebooks and this and that with their name on them, and when I was growing up I was approximately the only "Candace" in the free world. LOL I didn't meet another one till I got to high school, and she spelled it differently! Now they're everywhere, it seems.
