You are not a bad daughter in the slightest. You clearly don't want to hurt your mother, but it is important for you to be able to help yourself out and do what you need to do to live the best life possible and gain independence.

I'm sorry your mother isn't really understanding that. Is there anyone you could get involved to help convince your mother to do the remainder of the paperwork?
