ev, I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but I think the best thing is to give it a little time. You're doing the right things, and if you keep that up, then your body will recover. But it may take a little time for your system to regain the balance that was upset by the B&P.

Try to focus on how you feel rather than what you weigh. Maybe even just stay off the scale for a month, so you can think about your overall health, not just a number. Also, in addition to eating healthy and exercising, do make sure you get enough sleep, and drink plenty of water. They are just as important to a healthy lifestyle as food and exercise are.

And finally...keep up the good work!!!
