A coworker quit on the spot today. But she had only told me and one other person and she told us last week. She didn’t tell the managers. And we had brought food in for her today as a small going away party We had bags of food and no one said anything when we walked in with them. But she just announced at the meeting that she was quitting. The manager got so mad he walked out of the room. The other one was more professional, but you could tell by her face she was steaming. I’m just worried based on the fact that I knew a week before the managers did, and I had brought in food (even though that wasn’t my idea) that I could possibly get into trouble. I just felt like it wasn’t my business or my place to tell the managers. Plus I’m not going to throw someone under the bus just to kiss the managers asses and stay on their good side. I’m not a shady person. I’m just wondering how to handle the situation if it comes up.
