I haven't posted here in a while. I've been through a lot of therapists because I'm complicated

My current therapist is pretty good. I've been with him since November, which is relatively long for me. I googled him after realizing he doesn't live in the same state as me (however, he is still licensed here).

From there I fell into a pit of questions, more googling, and found out that he has worked for 3 therapeutic schools with abuse allegations.

Here is what I can gather:

They were therapeutic schools, so I do understand that there will always be unhappy reviews

I have not seen him directly implicated and there is nothing derogatory on his licenses

He was a therapist at one school for a relatively long time and was promoted to a business management position, then suddenly moved states to work in clinical at another school for about 3 years, then worked in clinical for the last school for 1 year. After that he moved back to his home state to take his current job (in a non-therapeutic higher end private school)

Like I said I haven't seen anything directly implicating him, but most of the information I've found doesn't name anyone specifically. My biggest concern is that all of these schools are related to the CEDU "cult" or at least the principals of it. I believe he was employed after the CEDU (whatever it was) shut down, but if the schools are still running my guess is they still use the same principals. I haven't read very deep into it, but I'm understandably concerned.

It's shady to say the least. I do fully understand that any therapeutic institution will have bad reviews and I do understand that my therapist perhaps didn't share those views and that is why he's moved jobs so many times.

I also trust in how my therapist is today. He has been very patient, kind, understanding. He hasn't pressured me or made me feel bad.

The only questionable thing was a horrific (for me) moment when he emotionally leg swept me. I understand why he did it, but looking back on that moment I wonder if it was something he regularly did with youth at the schools he worked for.

Honestly I don't know why I'm posting this. I'm concerned and curious. I'm reluctant to trust him now, despite having a good relationship before I learned about his past. If anyone else uses online therapy and thinks this may be their therapist, I'd love to chat. If you google him, I have no doubt you will be able to identify him based on this information.
