I had fleeting thoughts of quitting my job on Friday morning, all because of the lack of communication from the man who is training me and the other two new hires. I am finding it hard to figure out what is expected of me. He isn't giving any feedback unless it is negative which is very irritating. Plus we have gotten into trouble a few times from other coworkers for following his instructions.

My manager asked to see me to sign a document. After that was done, he asked me how it was going. I told him the lack of communication has been challenging, because I don't know what is expected of me. He told me the guy was new and struggling with articulation. He offered to speak to him about it. I told him that I would prefer to talk to him about it. He agreed that was the best approach. I'm not looking for a fight. I just want to know what is going on.
