I used to live and work at a popular summer resort area and I know what you're talking about. I used to hate the summer holiday weekends, except for Labor Day which meant the end of the summer season. I worked for my parents' resort business when I was much younger. I enjoyed it when I was very young, but hated it when I got older. It's been many decades since that business was sold and gone from me. I don't miss it at all. I hated having the people take over the place.
