Well I am in more or less constant pain unless I am lying down but I am much more mobile than when I first got the injury, or more specifically the morning after, when I could barely get out of bed. I can even sit with my legs crossed in the morning on my sofa and type this. Sitting on wooden chairs is tough still.
I've got the patio door open to cool off the house in the morning before it gets hot.
I keep reminding myself that the injury is much better than it was at the beginning. On the other hand certain positions can bother me a lot. Like I was driving yesterday and my hip hurt. Fortunately it is the left one and doesn't affect my driving leg. I can still glance over my shoulder to check traffic but just barely. That is the motion that hurts the worst.
The good side is that this has got me doing my stretches and exercises I am supposed to do every day and if I had been doing I probably wouldn't have hurt myself to begin with.
Life has consequences.
Next week is my now yearly scan for lung cancer. Then I get the results a week later. It's that waiting time in between, sometimes they schedule the doctor's appointment 2 weeks after the scan. Well I just feel like a number in the Canadian health care system. Who cares that someone waits 2 weeks to get the results of their cancer scan?
So this time I called and made them change it. I refused to wait so long. Now the wait is 6 days.
