marion and carbondale are right next to this big lake called crab orchard. well it flooded lol. that was 2 days ago and its still flooded. piers where fishermen dock their boats are completely underwater. there is this huge patch of farmland, probably about 50 acres - ish. its a few feet down off the road and had some farm equipment on it. well over 3/4 of the farm equipment isnt visible. some people are completely baracaded in their houses. and were not even that far south. and on campus it was almost impossible to walk anywhere. dorms were closed in, we had power outages all day, sidewalks were flooded - good times. this is the second time this has happened since we moved here. only this time its lasting longer.
