Welcome to PC
I'd say if you're thinking about getting therapy, that there is something in your life that you want to change and that therapy could prove to be useful.
I'm almost 22, and I started therapy through my university 3 years ago... so you're not alone in that regard.
Is there any way you could see a counsellor through your school, or find a place that has lower fees for students? There are many different places one can go for counselling if you don't have a lot of financial resources and don't want your parents involvement.
I wish you luck in finding someone to talk to!
