I just want to add that I can't take "the pill" or hormonal contraceptives either because I live with depression and they seriously affected my mood. Also, the copper IUD is not a good idea. They rarely offer it anymore (if at all?) because it was causing infections. A good friend of mine had to have an emergency hysterectomy in her early 20s due to a terrible uterine infection from her copper IUD. She had planned to have a large family and obviously couldn't due to the hysterectomy. And yes, the other IUD comes with hormones. Women's bodies, and contraception methods, are much more complicated than men sometimes realize. Including male MDs. Assuming that all women will want to put artificial hormones or artificial devices into their bodies in order to prevent pregnancy is not reasonable in my opinion. Those can wreak havoc on a woman's physical and emotional health even though they are indeed commonplace in modern society. Just thought I'd add that bit of background info. Hope that's okay to add to your thread Stuck1nHead.
