Hey friends,
So in other threads I've mentioned I have a sleep disorder. Because I work full-time, running my own consulting firm (something like 50-60 hours a week at least) I have been pushing myself to be on a normal sleep schedule. But it's just not working. I was trying to stop taking mid-day naps, which were just like 90 minutes long, because I thought they were interfering with my ability to sleep at night.
FYI, my sleep disorder does not make it difficult to fall asleep. I am an early riser. I keep losing sleep on the morning side. Like that guy from the book Insomnia by Stephen King.
So for maybe a month now I've been trying to force myself into a regular sleep schedule. It's not working. Yes, I've tried everything. I'm not looking for help in staying asleep. Right now I'm actually going to begin an experiment of just sleeping when I need to, for as long as my body wants, and seeing what that does to me.
I'm curious what other sleep schedules people who are working full time have, including naps or whatever they do to help offset if they have trouble sleeping. Would love to hear I'm not the only one choosing to have a weird sleep schedule to make life work.
