The older I get, the more I find these words of wisdom imparted to me on my first job to be oh, so true ...

"Don't make friends at work ... Rarely does anything good come from it."

Be it promotions, gossip, cattiness, personal stuff or whatever ...

Most friendships formed on the job end up crashing and burning at some point.

Best to just keep it professional and polite (when and as possible).
