T knows that for many reasons I need a lot of consistency to feel safe. He tries very hard to keep me in the same time slot or very close. He keeps the structure of our sessions basically the same even if the activities or what we discuss are different. He learned quickly last session how much I snowball if things are different and I notice everything. He has warned me that many of his boundaries are fluid, not set in stone so he encourages me to ask and talk about them often. I know he feels badly that just coincidentally at this time of his life he has a lot on his plate and is not able to offer me as much consistency as he wishes he could. He was very up front that he is not consistent about reading or replying to email, if I needed consistency in contact outside of session I have to call and leave a message.
