In my own opinion I am not sure how someone could lack any empathy or feeling at all. Is this not part of our human condition? Interesting points Wishful Thinker. Who knows? There is so much of the human brain that we do not understand. A good neuroscientist will always admit that....all these years of research and they have barely scratched the surface. Neural function is extremely complex. As I said, empathy is still somewhat of a mystery to me. I just know that various people in different areas of my life say I am higher on the scale. And I seem to have always chosen work which requires a lot of empathy. I don't fully know why. Though I did grow up with abuse if you saw my other post on that link.
