Hi HappyCrafter,
Congrats on feeling better! That must feel amazing!!! Good for you!
I am very proud of you on all of the above! I commend you highly for your endeavors in re-entering the workforce! I'd like to both encourage you, and also try to assist you.
So, a question: by "online" do you mean a work from home position? And within the field of mental health?
I am not sure what kind of online or work from home positions exist within the field of mental health. I do know that you would probably qualify for a residential counselor role, which would be in person. Those positions are typically entry level. I became a residential counselor when I first began in the field of mental health. They hired me with no prior mental health experience excepting some volunteer work.
The only other role I could think of that may be online would be a suicide or mental health hotline position. If that's the type of role you wish to pursue, then I would be specific about it in your Professional Summary.
Essentially, the Professional Summary portion you want to state your career objective, which typically includes the field and type of position you're interested in. So I would rework this portion to include those details.
Then once you have the type of role in mind, you can tailor your resume to reflect the skills you have which are necessary or required for that position. You want to tailor your resume to the role and field of interest, highlighting those skills and experience which may apply or which are transferable to your field of interest, throughout your resume.
Under the skills portion, I would add that you are bilinqual in Spanish. This is a top skill to own so I would highlight it. I would also expand this portion to show more than you've shown here, pulling from your resume and what you've said.
An example skills portion could look like this:
Excellent attention to detail
Superb organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Strong customer service abilities
Team oriented
Critical thinking skills and independently resourceful
Technically savvy
Quick learner
Hard working, diligent and reliable
Bilingual in Spanish
Then in your cover letters, you can explain the disability, the years of disability, and that you are prepared and thrilled to be re-entering the workforce.
There's my two cents!
