Well... I don't know what to tell you about this.
I probably should because it was pretty-much the story of my life during my working years. (I'm retired now.) In my case, I just got up every day & did what needed to be done no matter how big the boulder felt.
It often wasn't pretty. But I did it. I still do except that, being retired now, it's simply household chores I have to face not the world. Growing up, my father always would say: "You're not required to like it. You're just required to do it." I took that as my mantra. I wish I could say it got easier over time. But it didn't. I simply got used to it being that way.
You mentioned you're going to be seeing your doctor. If you're thinking about trying antidepressants, you may want to consider seeing a psychiatrist at some point along the way. You may also want to find a mental health therapist to work with. And then there are therapies such as CBT, DBT, & other stuff. There aren't any magic solutions out there. You just have to try different things & various combinations of things & see what works for you. Best wishes...
