Very interesting about estrogen's protective role. I have found A Role for Estrogen in Schizophrenia: Clinical and Preclinical Findings after reading your post and it does sound so convincing, because schizophrenia is so much more of a male disorder, whereas depression hits women more, while bipolar is equal in both genders. May I ask why you would to come off of the combined pill - are you planning to get pregnant?
