Anyone have any experience with Thundershirts for dogs afraid of loud noises. BG is terrified of loud noises. Gunshots, thunder, fireworks, anything like that scares him. I give him melatonin (sp?) which helps some, but if the noises go on a long time he comes unglued. I have some wild and crazy neighbors who love to party loud and long on holidays. Their New Year's Eve nonsense (fireworks, shooting guns, loud music) went on until almost 2AM. Poor BG came unglued. He was a basketcase all night. I gave him as much melatonin as I safely could and he was still freaked out. I'm concerned about the 4th next week. I anticipate the neighbors are going to go crazy.

I'm thinking of trying a Thundershirt for him, but they are expensive. I hate to spend the bucks and not have it work. Anyone here ever use one? Did it help? Was it worth the money?
