It is so sad that being anti-vaxx is in vogue. I am very strongly for vaccination and I think that not vaccinating one's children is irresponsible to them and to the society we live in.

I get a flu shot yearly, have been doing it for many years, have not had a flu in all of those years, and when I turn 50, my present to myself would be a Shingles vaccine. Also, I had chicken pox as an adult, before the vaccine for adults became available (that is one reason I need the shingles vaccine so much - the virus is the same), and it was tough.

I also apparently had adult whooping cough as a result of California parents' stopping to vaccinate their children against pertussis. Yes, herd immunity is very real.

I am so glad to see like-minded people on here.
