The longer you go without alcohol, the easier it might get (though you might occassionally miss it when a commercial comes on, etc.) I used to occassionally binge drink and my energy and concentration wasn't as good the next day (and you occassionally feel like crap

). Alcohol is a depressant so stopping could help you eventually feel less depressed--you might even be able to change your username from Sinking to Swimming.
Therapy can be hard in the short run but it may help in the long run. Hang in there!
