So sorry, BirdDancer

I had blood work done on Thursday, about 3 weeks after my 2nd iron infusion. The numbers look good so far. In fact, my iron saturation has never been this high in recent memory. I went from 3% to 35% (range 11-50% for normal). No longer anemic but still some days are good, some bad. I am told 6 weeks to feel the full effects of this infusion. I had labs again the first week of September, see the hematologist Sept. 10.

Slept in today, feel like I didn't get much accomplished though I did read some, and I washed all the bedding for our bed in the master bedroom., though that was a lot - sheets, quilt, 2 afghans, 2 throws, a blanket. Also went to urgent care because I stubbed the little toe I always break & the one next to it yesterday morning, and my toes/foot were bruised and painful. Of course, since I took the trouble to go there, they are not broken, just badly bruised, got the RICE advice - rest, ice, compression, elevation. Stupid ulcer, all I can take for pain is Tylenol, which did nothing, and at least the doctor gave me an anti-inflammatory injection (doesn't have to pass through the digestive system), and that is helping a lot.
