I am an accountant. It is tax season. I have piles and piles of work to do. My boss keeps checking in saying "so how are things coming along?"

Yet I sit on my *** all day, surf the net, and I do NOTHING at work.

I have an office so no one can really see what I'm doing - my computer screen is faced the other way. Yet I still realize they could be tracking my internet use. But I still do it.

Why? This is a new job. I LIKE my job. I want to stay here for a while. Why do I avoid my work?

Am I just lazy?
