When I lived in Calif I was just south of Ridgecrest by about 80 miles. I lived north east of the Northridge quake by about 60 miles & almost on top of the Sylmar quake. I hated aftershocks....Seemed they always happened when I was in the bathroom 
Another small one I always remember was when I was working in Westwood & was in my window office on the 22nd floor. The building really swayed & it was only maybe a 3 something quake.
Rolling quakes vs jolt quakes feel so very different. Glad you are doing well even with all the aftershocks.
