Mass General is the worst because it's on Storrow Drive and next to i93 and Route 28. Even on a "clear" traffic day, getting out of Mass General is awful. I don't think it's worth it for regular appts, but if you live in the city and are willing to walk, it might not be a big deal at all.

I think it may also depend upon which direction one might be entering Boston?

I was mostly entering via I-93, coming from either the North Shore or from southern NH. I could get into Boston relatively quickly from Southern NH, as well. Of course, it has been awhile since I have lived in those areas.

I was on the South Shore for several months and hated navigating to Boston from that area.
