I just learned that today when I was researching unipolar mania. Seems counter intuitive as bipolar implies two states or poles. There isn't a lot of information available about what to expect from unipolar mania, but I'm digging through what I can find in case it fits.

My doctor said she's leaning toward 'brief reactive psychosis' for me. She said she'll change her mind if I ever have another episode to give her something more to go on. It basically means something caused me to go nutty once, but nobody can tell me what or why.
