It's usually the company's top performers who are most at risk of losing their jobs for being 'insubordinate' aka good employees. The terrible employees seem to have job security. Not sure why it works out that way, but it ALWAYS works out that way.

This thread makes me want to rewatch the comedies Horrible Bosses 1 and Horrible Bosses 2 for some comedic relief.
