Maybe, although I have found usual is highly over-rated. It may be that they are treating you as an individual instead of a diagnosis and they feel that this course of action is a better choice therapeutically for you. If that is the case, then you are fortunate.

Do you believe that integration is the de facto end goal? I have heard it said that a person and their alters might become more than the sum of their parts, and in that case, integration is counter-indicated.
It also may be that your therapist is horrible. Or wonderful and a bad fit.
Or... how do you feel about them? Are there any other indications that they may not be someone you can have confidence in moving forward? Is that coming from a place of fear or a place of rationale? I honestly don't know any of these answers - nor do I think I do, but these are the questions that I would ask myself.
