Adding to the others thoughts: One thing that's worth pointing out is that you being here on PC itself is a positive sign. Signing up and posting things like this can be very therapeutic in and of itself, but the mere fact that you wish to seems like a wonderful advancement from the depression you describe. I'm sorry I wasn't in the chat when you were, but don't feel like you have to contribute. It can be beneficial to just sit and read what other people are talking about (and it's often very non-threatening). Reconnecting with people interacting (even in the smallest of ways) is a great place to start feeling better.

I fifth the issue of going to see your counselor. Getting motivated to do something is something I struggle deeply with too, so I understand what you mean, but when you ask, "what's the point?" consider that the journey can be as helpful as the destination. Days I leave the house (even to get the mail) are by their very nature better than days I don't. So please go.

*hugs*; good luck!
