There is a wild fire currently burning/being fought in the national forest here, that started earlier today about 8 miles from where we are staying. We can see and smell the smoke from our room. I am thinking we are going to be evacuated, as it's moving fast it seems to me, they are saying it has now burned over 400 acres in like 4-5 hours and we could actually see flames and smoke coming down the mountain moving closer to town as we were driving back to our room today from some sight seeing. After scoffing at me for being concerned and packing up most our stuff in case we get evacuated, H has now gone to sleep, I'm sitting here feeling broken because I am worried and anticipating evacuation. But we are safe for now and I am thankful. It is scary though. I can smell the smoke inside the hotel.
