It is a good question, really.
Well, the truth is, I prefer non fiction and sometimes come across, when reading or watching a documentary or video etc., situations where people resorted to cannibalism during desperate times. I've also read about serial killers who ate the flesh of their victims and I've read about cannibalism during warfare in various cultures down through the ages. I've read about a lot of different things. So, in that sense I do find it interesting, yes. Grotesque and totally awful but interesting in the sense of
what must drive people to devour the flesh of their kinsmen and women. So, of course you wonder what it must taste like. But am I interested in performing cannibalism, wanting to eat human flesh etc.? Absolutely not. The thought sickens me. If someone offered me human flesh to eat I'd call the police. Horrors.
I'm not like that German cannibal, not that long ago, who advertised on the internet for someone to kill and devour - and someone replied and they went through with it! I'm pretty sure he went to jail. He was obsessed. He's free now though. There's a Japanese cannibal who's free as well. This is why I prefer non fiction. You don't need fiction!!
Edit: The German cannibal was initially sentenced to 8 years in prison for manslaughter but later retried for murder and sentenced to life. He's still behind bars.
