Long time ago, after I dissociated due to a breakdown caused by my abusive husband, the ambulance was called to the house because they thought I overdosed (I didn't). One of the EMTs asked me how I was planning on killing myself. I told her. She basically laughed at me and told me it wouldn't work.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, L asked me if I had a plan to kill myself. I told her I always had one. I told her what it was. She sort dismissed it like it wouldn't kill me. She even told me not to go look up other methods.
