Hi. Not sure if this is in the right place; please feel to redirect me if not.
I’m looking for a kind of CBT resource I can use online. Obviously I’m not expecting a professional level of service, but something to tide me over. I’ve been referred by my doctor for a CBT course, however I was told when I was referred that there is no timescale for when I might be seen and it could take months. At the time of writing I’ve already been waiting for two months to be contacted (on top of the two months it took for me to get the initial appointment with my doctor – from which I was referred to CBT). For reference, I get sent monthly letters to remind me I’m still on the list, so I know I haven’t been forgotten.
I’m perfectly happy to wait until the appointment/course comes around, however I’ve been having increasingly frequent periods of stress and low mood, so I need something to help me cope in the meantime. Can anyone recommend any useful resources online I could potentially use in the interim? In particular, I’m looking for ways to avoid negative thinking and ways to manage stress/anxiety?
If you need me to provide more information I’m happy to do so. Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.
