Went to my doctor appointment yesterday (PCP). She wants me to go on some medication because of the bad cholesterol. My overall cholesterol is good but the bad number is too high. I'm doomed because I'm overweight, I have a family history of high cholesterol, and at least one of my medications causes high cholesterol. The pharmacy texted me and said the medication isn't covered by my insurance. So I called the doctor's office and they said they have a woman that handles that and to let her work on it. I'm sure the dang thing is going to be expensive then. It isn't going to be a generic. Hopefully it's tier 3 and not tier 4. But if it's too expensive, I'll just call the doctor and tell her to find me something else to take. Everything else is good though. I'm not pre-diabetic or anything. My liver is good. My kidneys are good. My blood pressure was good. Of course the woman wanted to give me a pap-smear but it's not a good time to do that so I was like, maybe next time. I was nervous but it went okay. She makes me nervous. Maybe because she was the one that insisted on a psych consult the first time I saw her. Humph. Thanks to anyone who pocket rode with me. I thought of ya'll when I was in the room waiting for the doctor. I felt like at least I wasn't alone. HUGS Kit
