Wild Coyote and fern, I'd be a heck of a lot better off if I didn't have so many goodies! Sweets are a bit of a weakness for me. Wild Coyote, most of them have some amount of chocolate involved. Fern, most of them are wafer type confections. Czechs love wafer type candy bars ("oplatky" in Czech). Some are wafers with chocolate and/or sweet nut (often hazelnut) or coconut paste, and then covered with chocolate. "Wafers" are kind of like the crunchy part of a Kit Kat bar, but a little thicker than in a Kit Kat. There are some "straws" which are a crunchy kind of edible straw with mostly chocolate or hazelnut mousse stuff inside. There are also some chocolate covered marzipan bars. I love marzipan! If I could share some with you, I would. Actually, they're not quite as high calorie as most American candy bars. Probably because of the wafer elements.

Tomorrow I plan to make my brother a homemade espresso cake. I know he really likes it. Hopefully, I'll send a lot of it home with him afterwards to share with my dad.
