Blanche, where to start?

Basically, nearly everyone had really low numbers last month due to all the changes and got taken to task for it. Cheater of course was fine and maybe two other people. I’m not sure, maybe they got lucky.
In my case so many of my projects weren’t edited last month. We used to have one full-time, editor two freelancers and our boss filling in when needed. Now we have one full-time and one freelancer who is only editing part-time and a boss that’s around maybe half the month. Things I sent to editing on the 20th, were not edited by month-end.

She basically has us rewriting projects completely. I had to spend hours on something today because the people that had worked on it before (not me) left out so much information. But with these new policies if she reviews it and discovers this information is missing, it's my problem. Just insane!!!!! How can we keep up any sort of level of production if you have to rewrite and re-research everything? She's totally lost the plot. If we don’t re-research/rewrite everything we risk her finding some miniscule error to criticize us.

There are limits to how much you can spend on one project and sometimes something will slip through the cracks, but she doesn't see it that way. I hadn't found an old study from 2013, for a project already in construction and was criticized for that.

She even told one of my co-workers to ask the cheater for advice on improving her numbers. I mean, WTF? It's ridiculous. She also told several of us to come to her more for help, when she's out sick half the month lately. And, also she tried to blame the slow editing on us making mistakes the editor had to fix. She wouldn’t acknowledge that her being out so much was a factor. I think more people are going to look for ways to cheat.

She never acknowledges any fault on her part; doesn’t listen to anything anyone has to stay. She is right, we are wrong. End of story.

I wish there were some way these issues could be heard by someone else in the company, but her boss doesn’t seem like he’d be receptive and HR can’t be trusted, of course.

Oh, and a 6.8 earthquake yesterday afternoon didn’t help matters.
