Well... I don't really know anything about this in particular. But, in general, I don't think it ever hurts to get a second opinion. Maybe it will result in something... maybe not. But at least you'll have the satisfaction of having gotten another opinion. It's your life. And ultimately, it seems to me, you need to be in charge of it. Personally I would be suspicious of any doctor who would react negatively to the idea of a patient getting a second opinion. But then I guess I have a tendency to be a pretty suspicious person to begin with. So it's probably to be expected I would feel that way.
