I’ve finally realised the same I think, little turtle ...
That trying to be nice to people who completely misunderstand me and who have little to no respect for me.. (and I’m not such an odd person that I can be the only person these people have little to no respect for......)
Is simply an “emotional drain”
People such as that are best avoided but there are so many of them
