Therapy Hangover? The struggle is real.

What are your symptoms?

I feel drained, maybe feeling like I was drugged at times, sometimes a mild headache, I feel like I am walking in a fog. If I hand any pep before I went in sometimes it is lost.

In the past when always in a crisis and feeling like dying the opposite of the above is true. I can walk out feeling like a veil has been lifted.

I could list more but I have therapy hangover at the moment.

Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors.
