I've heard emdr is helpful for trauma. You may also try humanist approach, somatic experiencing and mindfulness.
I find combination of "normal talk therapy" as well as physical exercise and creativity most effective. Trauma is both psychological and physical injury. It needs to be addressed on all levels of mind and body.
