I wanted to know if feeling happy on coffee is related to a possible mood disorder? Because, most people only feel awake when they drink coffee. But when I drink it, I don't only feel awake, I also feel happier, more energetic, more hyperactive, more optimistic, more motivated, more talkative, and start to have lot of goals. I never felt manic on coffee though, just a bit happier than usual. More like a slight hypomania that you can find in cyclothymia. So I want to know if it's normal to feel like that on caffeine? Caffeine is a stimulant so maybe it can trigger hypomanic-like symptoms. However, most people don't experience it. They just feel awake on coffee. Caffeine makes me feel not like I usually feel without coffee! Does that mean I have a possible mood disorder like cyclothymia? I know I have depression (i've been diagnosed with it) but not sure about the cyclothymia part... But it's strange that I feel like that on caffeine. Have you ever felt like this when you drink coffee?

Thanks all for your replies
