How old are you? The reason I ask is a year ago I started getting hot flashes and my period does whatever it wants. I am only 44. I went to my gyn and had blood work and even uterine biopsy and he didnt see any hormones that would indicate menopause. He said we were just going to "assume" it is perimenopause but I dont know much about how old you have to be to experience this. The first time I skipped a period I freaked out and thought I was pregnant which would have been against the odds since my husband had a vasectomy.
