I'm sorry he's doing that. Can you pick up a second therapist? I wouldn't even tell him, to be honest. I'd just consider what he's doing a taper and take steps to start seeing someone else who wouldn't make unilateral treatment decisions. I wouldn't tell them, either. I know you're really attached to him so just finding someone else and leaving him probably isn't an option.
