I've had three different long term therapists, and they were definitely different from each other: different training and degrees, different levels and/or types of therapy experience, different approaches, different personalities. But each of them brought something value to the therapy room that I found helpful and healing. I was in therapy at different stages of my own life and my journey through healing, and in a way, I think having different therapists was probably more beneficial to me than it would have been to be with the same one through the entire process. Three different sets of eyes, three different perspectives, three different approaches -- and each had its benefits.
