I know I will seem like an snob and I do not mean to be. 12 step programs of all kinds have helped many. I am an alcoholic so I deal with AA. My daughter is an alcoholic by default but got into drugs as well so she started out with AA. I have been to many NA meetings and my experience may be limited but I seem to see so much drama with NA. In fact all the drug addicts I know started with NA and moved to AA for this reason.

My theory is because the heroin crisis tends to strike the younger tween-20 somethings so there is limited life experience and maturity but maybe I am off base.
Some people who like NA have told me that AA made them feel like they were in a cult. If you are a 12 stepper what do you think?
