Thanks soo much for hanging in with me and helping me understand. I see I have much discovery ahead of me. Feeling fortified with diagnostic terms, etc., now. Will be able to discuss with my neurologist going forward.

yes OSDD is a very broad diagnostic label. think of it like a category / title and inside that category / title are many different dissociative disorders.

yes macropsia can be a neurological problem too, it was added to the dissociative disorders category OSDD also due to some people with dissociative problems have this problem. it all depends upon your own problems and symptoms, mine is related to my dissociation problems so mine is listed as the dissociative macropsia. yours from the fact that your treatment provider is sending you to your neurologist says if you have macropsia its related to your neurological problems rather than dissociative.

yes it is hard to know where you fit in this disorder. you will not be able to do the self diagnosing / trying to figure out where you fit in with OSDD disorders because most of what this disorder is not available to the general public, (you cant find information online, in forums and so on ………..until after ……...you have been diagnosed with one or more of the 10-15 OSDD disorders and told by your treatment providers which OSDD disorder you have.

once you get your OSDD diagnosis it will look like this on your files...

(your name) has OSDD - (name(S) of your Other Specified Disorders that are on a treatment providers only list of disorders)

this disorder category the treatment provider ............must........... tell you which OSDD disorder you have and how and why you were diagnosed with that specified disorder. they will sit down with you and explain everything to you at that time.

after you have your OSDD disorder name then you may be able to use the internet to find more information.
