Do you see a T? If you do it may be helpful to see if your boyfriend would go to an appointment with you once. It could help him understand you a little better and give him an idea of what you need from him when you are down. Sometimes people don't understand each other until it is explained by someone else in a way that they can understand.
In other words, you've tried to tell him what you need from him but he doesn't get it. If you go to a Therapist and explain how you feel and what you need the therapist may be able to translate for you and your boyfriend may finally get it. However, this may be more complicated and take more than one visit.
I would suggest, that when you invite him to go with you, you explain that you would like him to get a chance to ask questions about your illness and perhaps the therapist could give some suggestions on how he can deal with you when you aren't doing great. If you say we've got problems and you want him to go to therapy with you it may sound like you think its all his fault or that you think he needs therapy which would just cause a fight.
