looks like Lexapro is highly recommended (I'm thinking the manufacturer funded that...), dual-acting agents....my hazy recollection of the info suggests tricyclics, probably Tofranil or Elavil....

a friend did well on lexapro and wellbutrin, with ambien to help sleep. the lexapro was too apathy-making, the ambien stopped working after 6 months, and the wellbutrin has been replaced by a stimulant plus 'mood stabilizer,' but...

for a while there, it got the job done. when i had severe depression, a psych brought up amoxapine. didn't happen, but...it is supposedly the thing to do for severe and/or psychotic depression. just thought id mention it.
