I forgot to mention this in my previous post. Have you ever read The Gift of Fear by Gavin De Becker? It is a very informative book that I believe you might find helpful. The author is a world widely know expert on violence and protection. He runs an enormous security agency and has also provided his expertise to police departments, the CIA, and other government officials.
