My OCD came on with a bang when I was 13 and untreated it's very severe. I am now 60. For 2 years it was severe obsessions and then at 15 also came the severe washing/cleaning rituals. For some reason the washing/cleaning rituals went away after about 2 years but the obsessions remained. I take a large dose of lexapro and other psych meds to cope. I also have regular anxiety at times and depression most of the time. The psych meds work pretty well for the OCD and anxiety but not the depression.
